This logo was designed for a fictional business called “Save the Komodo Dragon (SKD)” with the mission of preserving the Komodo Dragon, which is on the cusp of being placed on the endangered animal list. To help save this animal from extinction, the design is intended to soften the image of a reptile as a cold-blooded predator that might attack humans. Komodo Dragons are not cuddly looking, like bears and other furry warm-blooded animals, so the logo’s goal is to change people’s minds about this reptile without giving any anthropomorphic characteristic to it. Although the Komodo Dragon is in a fighting posture, the silhouette design offers the perspective of hugging or embracing the initials.
